I am currently looking for a number of Enthusiastic and Passionate Care Workers in Meldreth, Nr. Royston (South Cambridgeshire / North Hertfordshire border), where the children's home and school provide education, care, and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury, and degenerative disorders.

Role Details

• Position: Support Worker
• Location: Royston
• Salary: £12.37 to £13.49 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications) Plus £1500 Welcome Bonus
• Hours: 4-week rota pattern - Average 40hrs per week for full-time and flexible part-time shifts, including weekend-only hours.
• Training: Full training is provided. Once passed probation, we support and fund you to complete a Level 3 diploma in Residential Care. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Key Duties of a Support Worker

• Providing high levels of care during daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, and personal care.
• Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
• Communicating effectively and building strong relationships to empower children and young adults to grow and develop.
• Ensuring the environment is safe, supportive, and enjoyable.
• Helping develop learning and social skills wherever possible.
• Full training and continued support.
