Job summary

Mencap in Richmond is looking for caring Support Workers to join our service. You will help adults with learning disabilities with daily tasks and provide emotional support to enable independence and participation in activities.

You could be part of our motivated team across our Richmond service, with opportunities to engage in day-centre outings, leisure activities, and community involvement. A driver is preferred but not essential.

Job description

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in our service in Richmond.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

We support adults who have a learning disability and live in our 3 supported living services across Catterick and Richmond. We are looking to grow our lively, inclusive, knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly staff team! A driver would be preferable however we are happy to look at all applications.

We support both females and males, who all live independent, fun and active lifestyles. Our services are busy environments, from going to day centres, supporting with leisure activities including cinema, seeing friends, gardening, socialising, and they need your support with this.
