Job description

This is a temporary Support Worker role at Holkham House in Redhill, a Learning Disability and Autism service providing a specialist residential environment for men and women with various learning disabilities, including autism and sensory and communication impairments. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with high support needs to live within a community setting, with ongoing support requirements.

Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, you will use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to positively impact the lives of people with learning disabilities. Your daily tasks include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors and adapting care with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care, which may involve assisting with personal hygiene. The environment can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is also highly rewarding to see individuals improve thanks to your support, knowing you've made a difference in their lives.

Location: Princes Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6JJ

You will work at Holkham House, a specialist residential service for men and women with learning disabilities, including autism and sensory impairments. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals requiring high-level, long-term community support, including transitions from children’s services or family homes. The goal is to enable individuals to live more independently through community engagement, social networking, and coping strategies.
