Mencap in Rawtenstall is seeking caring Support Workers to help individuals with learning disabilities live fuller lives. You will assist with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and help the two gentlemen access community activities and social events.

Role includes mobility support (hoists and transfers) as needed. A valid driving license and an automatic car are required, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We welcome diverse applicants.

Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Rawtenstall.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

We are currently looking for caring and compassionate support workers to support 2 gentlemen that live in Rawtenstall, both Gents have different levels of support needs. but do like to spend time with each other and do access the community frequently to take part in different social events.

in terms of support needs 1 gentleman has enduring mobility needs that will require staff to support him with hoisting and transfers around his home.

What we're looking for:

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This role requires you to be a driver and be able to drive an automatic car

Contract options:

• Part‑time: flexible hours based on availability

Shift times:

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 6 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

There is also a sleep‑in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment
