Job description
Overview
  • Support Worker
  • Ormesby, Norfolk
  • £12.31 p/h
  • Full Time, Part Time & Relief

We’re a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, and we’re proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces year after year.

The Role

We are recruiting Support Workers in Ormesby, Norfolk. Whether you have experience or not, we will help support you to reach your full potential by providing you with all the necessary training, guidance and support you need to complete your care certificate and further qualifications.

You will be joining a team supporting three wonderful gentlemen in their 50s and 60s who live in their own home. Each person we support has complex health needs, including PEG and stoma care, and uses a wheelchair, so confidence with personal care, moving and assisting (including hoists), and PEG feeding is essential.

You’ll be working 1:1, but never alone, there are always three team members on shift, ensuring consistent, high-quality support. The gentlemen love getting out whether it’s a scenic drive, a trip to the sensory room, a weekly boat ride on the Broads, or simply enjoying music at home.

We believe anyone can be a great support worker—no experience needed. If you share our values of respect, partnership, courage, ambition, and integrity, we’ll support you to succeed.

Shift Pattern

Shifts typically run 7am–10pm, 7am–2:30pm, or 2:30pm–10pm, depending on the needs of the gentlemen we support. While we have a dedicated waking night team, flexibility is essential to cover occasional night shifts during annual leave or sickness. All permanent staff are expected to do 1–2 sleep-ins per week and work alternate weekends (both days).
