Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, part of the Cygnet Group, is seeking a confident Support Worker to help improve lives across two wards for women. You will provide physical and emotional support, work as part of a caring team, and contribute to a safe hospital environment in Staffordshire.

The role involves 42 hours per week with flexible overtime, ongoing coaching, supervision, and peer support to help you grow in a rewarding healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Experience delivering compassionate support to adults in care settings is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check is required for successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced care and support with a flexible learning approach for people in our care.
• Offer physical and emotional support and guidance to service users.
• Learn about individuals’ needs and respond in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report on welfare requirements as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and safeguard service users.

We are looking for a confident Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working42hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atCygnet Hospital Kidsgrove.Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is our hospital for women in Staffordshire.

There are two wards at the hospital; a 20 bed Acute service for women and an 11 bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service. Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs.

Your day-to-day

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
