Qualifications

  • Must hold full driving license and right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in providing high quality, safe and effective care.

Role Overview:

In this role you’d be supporting an adult client with cognitive difficulties and seizure activity with their day-to-day life. Our client has a keen interest in music and mechanics, enjoys being outdoors and being involved in projects, they are able to mobilise independently and need support with organising their day, community access, seizure management and medication prompting.

The specific clinical skills required will depend on the individual client’s needs, so flexibility and adaptability are key. You may be supporting both children and adults in different settings, including their home, school, or out in the community.

We Will Train You!

At Innovate Care Group, we believe in empowering our Healthcare Assistants with comprehensive training. Our training programme begins with e-learning modules on important topics such as safeguarding and person-centred care. You’ll then receive face-to-face clinical training, where you’ll develop essential skills like tracheostomy care and specialised medication administration, for example, Buccal Midazolam. In addition, we provide shadow shifts and bespoke competency sessions that will ensure you’re fully supported as you gain confidence in delivering expert, compassionate care.

What you will do:

  • Provide expert care based on a personalised plan in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Your skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience with adults or children with complex needs
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a care or hospital setting
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude
  • Willingness to be part of a family-centred care team
  • Demonstratable commitment to providing high quality, safe and effective care
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to fit into a family setting
  • Have the ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing holistic care.
  • Car driver with access to your own vehicle
  • Confident navigating systems with good IT skills
