The Role:

We provide individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as normal a life as possible. Flexibility is required as shifts include bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep-ins.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in implementing individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
  • Maintain effective communication with service users, families, and others, respecting confidentiality
  • Support service users with meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and social events
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as required
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care

Personal Characteristics:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, or mental health issues
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work independently or in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults
  • Commitment to safeguarding standards
