- As a Support Worker at Daylight, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or physical disabilities. Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
- Support service users with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
- Encourage and assist with social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Uphold safeguarding principles and ensure a safe environment at all times.
Essential Experience Required .
- Previous experience in a care or support role (e.g., residential care, supported living, community outreach, or day services).
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, or physical disabilities.
- Familiarity with person-centred care planning and safeguarding practices.
- Experience supporting individuals with communication needs or challenging behaviour.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety, medication administration, and record-keeping.
