  • As a Support Worker at Daylight, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or physical disabilities. You will help service users achieve their goals, develop life skills, and participate in their communities.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
  • Support service users with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
  • Encourage and assist with social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
  • Uphold safeguarding principles and ensure a safe environment at all times.

Essential Experience Required .

  • Previous experience in a care or support role (e.g., residential care, supported living, community outreach, or day services).
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, or physical disabilities.
  • Familiarity with person-centred care planning and safeguarding practices.
  • Experience supporting individuals with communication needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety, medication administration, and record-keeping.
