Cartrefi Cymru Co in Llantwit Major is seeking a Female Support Worker to help four individuals live fulfilling, independent lives in their own homes. You will provide person-centred care, including some personal care, with patience and empathy.

Full-time or part-time hours are available, with shifts including weekends and sleep-ins. The role pays £13.59 per hour, plus £60 per sleep-in night and 55p per mile travel expenses.

As a Female Support Worker in Llantwit Major, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilitiesto live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

Role:Female Support Worker

Location: Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan

Hours: We have both part time (minimum 10hours per week) and full time hours (maximum 40hours per week), please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern couldinclude weekends and sleep-ins

Salary:£13.59per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be joining a dedicated team providing care and support to four individuals in their own home, each with unique needs and personalities. This includes supporting one person who experiences OCD and another who requires some personal care. They enjoy eating out, visiting farms, and gardening at the allotments. While they require minimal support, there may occasionally be some challenging behaviour.

In this role, you’ll help enhance well-being and create meaningful, positive experiences every day. By focusing on what matters most to each person, you’ll make a real difference — helping them live fulfilling, independent, and enjoyable lives. This is a rewarding, person-centred role for someone who values compassion, patience, and making everyday moments remarkable.

No experiencerequired as fulltraining is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:

• are female(this is a genuine occupational requirement due to the nature of the role)
• have patience and empathy
• can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
• have strong communication and teamwork skills
• are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
• have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
• have afull driving licence - essentialfor transporting individuals to appointments and activities
