Job description

Job Description: Support Worker at Northern Case Management

Northern Case Management is seeking experienced, motivated, and proactive Support Workers and/or bank staff to work in the Blundellsands area of Crosby. We support a client who resides with his partner and two children, receiving 24-hour care.

Meet our client:

A 45-year-old male with a severe brain injury from an RTA. He can be unpredictable and anxious around new people but has a great sense of humor and enjoys activities like board games, trips to the zoo, and music. He loves listening to Pink Floyd, attending concerts, and watching football, especially Liverpool FC. He has two children, a son with autism and ADHD, and a daughter, who are his main motivation for rehabilitation.

Role Details:

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, rolling rota including day shifts (8am-8pm), wake night shifts (8pm-8am), and sleep night shifts (10pm-7am).

Pay Rates: £16.00/hour weekdays/waking nights, £18.00/hour weekends/waking nights. Sleep rates apply from 11pm-8am.

Requirements: Full UK driving license is essential; provisional licenses are not accepted.

Responsibilities:
  • Build trusting relationships with the client, family, and Case Manager.
  • Support the client according to the Care Plan.
  • Promote health, safety, and security.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties.
  • Protect individuals from abuse and liaise with other agencies.
  • Complete daily records and attend meetings and training.
  • Assist with daily living activities, household chores, health appointments, and medication.
  • Support community activities and therapy sessions as advised.
Person Specification:
  • Experience with brain injury or neurological conditions preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • IT literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Reliable with full UK driving license.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £13.50-£15.50 per hour depending on shifts.
  • 25 days plus bank holidays annual leave.
