Job summary

Whinfell School is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help autistic young people aged 7-19 enjoy full, happy lives. You will create opportunities, build confidence, encourage independence and provide consistent care to help each child feel safe, understood and valued.

The role requires involvement in daily routines, emotional wellbeing support, and personal development, with evenings and weekends filled with meaningful, supervised activities and memorable experiences.

One evening you might be baking, playing football or settling down for a fiercely competitive board-game tournament. The School: At Whinfell School, our Residential Support Workers help autistic young people aged 7-19 to enjoy full, happy and meaningful lives. You'll create opportunities, build confidence, encourage independence and provide the consistent care that helps each young person feel safe, understood and valued. Of course, the role also involves responsibility, patience and resilience. You'll support daily routines, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
