Job description

Support worker with a full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle required on either a full or part-time basis to work for our professional, privately owned care company in Ipswich. This support worker role involves working either an 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift, Monday to Friday, providing personal care to various patients in their homes. It is essential for this Support worker role that you possess evidence of your right to work in the UK and have some experience in care.

The Role
  1. Visiting patients in their own homes and providing them with the care required
  2. Providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living tasks to clients
  3. Dealing with medication support
  4. Assisting with meal preparation
  5. Carrying out general household tasks
  6. Assisting with mobility
  7. Emergency response
  8. Monday to Friday 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
  9. Flexible hours offered
The Person
  1. Must possess a minimum of 1 year’s experience as a carer
  2. Essential to possess a full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  3. Able to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK
  4. Flexible attitude, happy to take on different tasks as required for each person needing care
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Ideally possess an NVQ in health and social care or equivalent
  7. Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  8. Compassionate with the desire to provide a first-class service
