About Us

At Christchurch House, we provide safe and supportive temporary accommodation for young people facing homelessness or housing instability. Our team works with individuals aged 16 - 24 to develop life skills, build confidence, and access education, training, or employment opportunities.

About the role

As part of the role, you will…

  • Be central to ensuring that our customers have an outcomes based support plan in place that meets their aims and aspirations.
  • Support our customers to manage risk and take positive risks to enhance their wellbeing working alongside other support agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Be involved in referrals, risk assessing and supporting the team to ensure that our customers, colleagues, and our buildings are safe by adhering to good practice, legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Actively engaging with our customers and wider stakeholders to ensure that the service thrives and delivers to our best ability.
  • Support our customers to link into the local community, to gain new networks and opportunities through volunteering, training and work.
  • Be a strong advocate for our customers through getting to know them and recognising them as experts through their lived experiences.
  • Provide oversight into meeting expectations set out by our commissioners, line management and senior management.
  • Support young people to attend meetings and workshop activities.
  • Participate in multi-agency assessment, and other relevant assessment processes and offer management oversight where required.
  • Maintain up to date records and data using electronic devices and systems and provide reports for a range of audiences.
  • Actively work in partnership with other professional groups to deliver a holistic service to our Service users.
  • Identify and effectively manage risk and safeguarding concerns and escalate where required.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to inclusivity, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Has experience working with young people facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health difficulties, or substance misuse.
  • Is an excellent communicator, able to build trust and positive relationships.
  • Can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people.
  • Holds an understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Has excellent admin skills and can provide comprehensive weekly reports internally and externally.
  • Committed to undertake all learning and training requirements for the role.
