Job summary

Active Prospects is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Horley-based supported living service. You will help two adults live more independently in a bungalow, providing person-centred care and ensuring safety and well-being.

Ideal candidates have excellent listening and communication skills, empathy, and experience with challenging behaviours. You will receive training and join a supportive team with recognised national awards.

The role:

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our friendly team at our supported living service in Horley.

This service supports up to 2 adults with autism, mental health, learning disabilities and epilepsy to live independently in a bungalow. Challenging behaviours can occur including physical, verbal and self‑harming behaviours, however our fantastic training department will provide all the relevant training and support.

As a Support Worker, you will be included in creating activities and ensuring the people we support receive a great level of care within their home. You will be supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations - no matter how big or small they are - and to promote independence by learning new skills.

Ideal candidates for this role will be required to have excellent listening and communication skills with empathy and a positive support approach and experience in working with people with Challenging Behaviours.
