Job Details

Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, working every other weekend.

Pay enhancements: A night enhancement of £1.00 per hour from 8pm to 7am, Monday – Thursday (excluding sleep-ins). A weekend enhancement of £1.00 per hour from 8pm Friday to 7am Monday (excluding sleep-ins).

About the Role

In our Supported Living home in Hitchin, we support people with learning disabilities to live full and independent lives. Each customer has their own self-contained flat within the building.

Requirements: A UK manual driving licence is necessary to drive our customers' cars when needed.

Who Are We Looking For?

Are you an experienced care worker or interested in starting a career in care? We welcome applications from individuals with care experience or those eager to learn. We provide comprehensive training and induction programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
• Escort and support customers during activities, appointments, and external events.
• Promote independence and support customers in achieving personal goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Candidate Qualities

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility and creativity in supporting customers and their families.
• Personal care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota if required.
