Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker at Shipley Lodge in Heanor, Derbyshire. This full-time role (35 hours per week) offers a compassionate environment where you support residents with mental health challenges, helping them regain confidence and daily living skills.

You will work on a rota, use digital systems for communication, and collaborate with local health and social care partners to promote recovery and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with mental illness in social care.
• Strong listening, empathy, patience and kindness.
• Comfortable using digital systems (MS Office, email, internet).

Additional Enhanced Payments: £0.86 - Unsocial Hours,1.5 x hourly rate - Bank Holiday

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Shipley Lodge – a CQC Registered home supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges.

Our Shipley Lodge Service is a sixteen bed, single-level facility for both male and female clients, offering a clean and comfortable environment that supports recovery and independence. At Shipley Lodge, we provide more than just accommodation – we offer support with daily living skills, personal care, finances, and rehabilitation, while encouraging engagement with the local community.
