Service Name: 56 High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AQ

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Hours: 38 Hours Per Week

Who are Ambient Support?

Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with mental health needs, and people with learning disabilities.

Our Service at 56 High Street is an older adults Continuing Rehabilitation registered care home. It is a large, detached house providing a homely environment for ten individuals.

We offer a high-quality unique service for older adults with severe and enduring mental health problems and complex needs. The service can also support those with early onset dementia and/or a diagnosis of autism. Support can also be provided to those with physical health needs including diabetes. Each of the people we support has their own room and shares communal areas, including a cosy sitting room and large dining room. They also enjoy a range of arts and music activities in the house.

The role of our Care Support Workers:

1. Providing social and emotional support, either at home and/or in their local community.
2. Supporting residents with their personal care including personal hygiene needs if required.
3. Support with shopping and assisting with budgeting.
4. Building/maintaining relationships with friends and family of our residents.
5. Household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
6. Going out for walks, meals, and other activities that supported individuals may want to experience.

Skills and attributes of our Care Support Workers:

1. You need to be a very calm, caring individual with a positive outlook.
2. Empathy, caring, and sensitivity to the needs of others.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Computer literate.
5. Car driver desirable but not essential.
