A compassionate support organization in the UK seeks a Personal Care Assistant to work permanent night shifts. The role involves supporting a young male with profound disabilities in daily living tasks, including medical care such as oxygen therapy and enteral feeding. £14 per hour.
Hours: Waking night shifts Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10pm – 7am (9 hours). Set days will be allocated but the ideal candidate will also need to offer some flexibility with their hours to support any changes, including cover for annual leave, sickness.

This role is to support a young male living with his parents in his family home, in Shipston-on-Stour.
He is supported by one carer and an agency currently, but we would like to change that to build a team of carers around him who get to know him.
The client is registered blind and has profound learning disability, is fully immobile and suffers with diabetes, epilepsy and Pokilothermia – a condition causing him to be unable to regulate his own body temperature.
Client has intermittent oxygen therapy, may require nebulization, oral suction and enteral feeding, and has a superpubic catheter in-situ.
The personal assistants will need to be patient, caring and calming, and very understanding of his needs.
The ideal candidate will live locally to the family, be flexible, enjoy the company of animals (the family own cats and dogs), be enthusiastic, patient but inspiring to bring a sense of engagement into their life, be professional and respectful of the family and their home, and have a good sense of humour.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and are exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
