About Me

This role is to support a young male living with his parents in his family home, in Shipston-on-Stour.

He is supported by one carer and an agency currently, but we would like to change that to build a team of carers around him who get to know him.

The client is registered blind and has profound learning disability, is fully immobile and suffers with diabetes, epilepsy and Pokilothermia – a condition causing him to be unable to regulate his own body temperature.

Client has intermittent oxygen therapy, may require nebulization, oral suction and enteral feeding, and has a superpubic catheter in-situ.

About You

The personal assistants will need to be patient, caring and calming, and very understanding of his needs.

The ideal candidate will live locally to the family, be flexible, enjoy the company of animals (the family own cats and dogs), be enthusiastic, patient but inspiring to bring a sense of engagement into their life, be professional and respectful of the family and their home, and have a good sense of humour.

Benefits

  • Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to scheme rules.
  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan after successful completion of the probation period.
  • Free training and development for all roles.
