About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, dependable Support Workers to join our team in Grays. You will provide person‑centred care to elderly clients and young adults living with dementia, helping them maintain dignity, safety, and quality of life. Shifts will vary and will include both days and nights across all days of the week.

Location: Grays, Essex

Contract Type: Permanent / Temporary (as agreed)

Hours: Various shifts, days & nights, Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive support for clients with dementia: including assistance with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting), mobility and transfers, continence care.
  • Support with daily living tasks: meal preparation/support at mealtimes, medication administration or prompting, nutrition, hydration.
  • Provide emotional support: calming and reassuring clients during times of distress or confusion.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities: social interaction, memory stimulation, recreational or therapeutic activities to help maintain cognitive skills.
  • Observe, monitor & report changes in client condition to senior staff; maintain accurate care records.
  • Assist with safe moving and handling, risk assessments, maintaining client safety.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the care team, including cleaners / kitchen / nursing or allied health professionals.
  • Maintain client dignity, privacy, choice and rights at all times.
  • Adhere to health & safety, safeguarding, infection control policies.
Working Pattern
  • Shifts vary: Days & Nights, covering Monday to Sunday.
  • Some flexibility required: early mornings, late evenings, weekends and night shifts.
  • Full or part‑time positions may be available
