Voyage Care in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals with acquired brain injury in a welcoming team. You will help with daily living, personal care, and community activities, promoting independence and confidence, with shifts including days, evenings, and nights.

No two days are the same: you’ll enable access to local communities, accompany service users on outings, and provide comforting support in daily routines and leisure activities.

Formación

• Full UK driving licence required
• Experience in supporting individuals with ABI, autism, complex needs or challenging behaviours preferred
• Ability to follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice

Responsabilidades

• Plan and participate in activities (outings to restaurants, cinema, events) and provide companionship

Support Worker – Gloucester

Pay rate starts at: £12.95 - £14.95 (Ts & Cs apply)

This position prefers you to have a Full UK Manual Driving licence and be over the age of 21 due to insurance policy to drive our on site vehicles.

Typical Shifts are: Days 8am - 15:00 and 15:00 - 22:00 and Nights 22:00 - 8am On a Rota Monday - Sunday

Our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service Gloucester is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local restaurants and attending appointments, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
