Job description

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Support Worker.

Parkside Lodge is a small residential service based in Bensham, close to Gateshead City Centre. Providing specialised support to 10 adults with mental health needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing personal care and emotional support.
• Supporting with 1 to 1 hours.
• The purpose of our service is to demonstrate outcomes for the people we support. We work to maximise their potential and build on their daily living skills with the aim of living independently, reducing the need for mental health services.
• Supporting activities within the service and also out in the community.
• Medication support.
• Cleaning and household duties.
• Shifts would include 8 am to 6pm, 10 am to 8 pm and also 8 am to 8 pm .
• Waking nights may be required.
• You will also need to have the flexibility to cover annual leave or extra hours when needed.

Who you are:

• A background in Mental Health is preferred; however, all training will be provided.
• You will have a positive attitude and be highly motivated with the ability to encourage the people we support.
• Flexible with a can do attitude.
