Location: Portchester
Days & Hours: 8 hours per week. Flexible schedule with options for one full day or two half days, tailored to meet David's needs.
Pay: Weekdays: £15 per hour; Weekends and Bank Holidays: £16 per hour.
Driver Required: Yes. You must use your own car with business insurance; mileage will be reimbursed.
Using Own Vehicle: Yes, for work duties and training attendance.
Essential Skills: Experience supporting adults with acquired brain injury.
Desirable Skills: Experience with trauma, vision loss, and an interest in therapy.
Family Pets: 1 dog.
Interviews: Conducted via video as applications are received.

David, born in 1989, has a brain injury affecting his eyesight. He is registered blind with no vision in his right eye and limited tunnel vision in his left. He is aware of mood swings but manages them well. David enjoys football, dog walking, fishing, museums, and long drives. He volunteers at Headway Portsmouth and works part-time as a cleaner. He is diabetic and enjoys takeaway foods like Nando's.
David values his independence but appreciates support for activities, mobility, and daily living. He lives alone but enjoys family company and is very proud of his pet dog. Support will help him maximize independence and enjoy his hobbies.
