Support Workers

37.5 Hours per week

12 month fixed term contract

Salary: £24,680 per annum

Mortimer House is our largest supported accommodation project, located in Exeter, providing tenancy experience for customers over a period of up to 2 years through our Housing Plus model, accommodation plus support, which we find is invaluable for our customers. Mortimer House is undergoing a period of change and now is the ideal time to consider joining the journey.

Initially, for a period of 12 months, we are seeking to recruit to the following roles; Housing Officer, Financial Inclusion Officer and Support Workers to join our existing team to make Mortimer House a thriving community where our customers succeed and can successfully move on to permanent accommodation.

In this role you will support the residents to improve their wellbeing, make links with their local communities and manage their homes by working alongside them to support them in meeting their potential.

Duties of the role include:

Liaising with customers, colleagues and other professionals to support the customers journey, ensuring that we maintain regular liaison with the referrals and process.

Working alongside customers to develop an individual support & safety plan by identifying goals and assessing barriers to reaching goals.

Advising on housing and tenancy related issues, including ASB, welfare benefits including knowledge of entitlement and how to claim, financial and budgeting matters.

Ensure records are thorough and up to date using our case management and housing systems.
