Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Ewloe, Flintshire seeks a Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities live fulfilling lives in the community. You will assist individuals in making everyday choices and pursuing personal goals with person-centred support.

The role includes weekend shifts and sleep-ins for part-time hours. We provide training, a pension, and a benefits platform, plus mileage reimbursements to cover travel to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Support Worker in Ewloe, Flintshire, you'll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

Role: Support Worker

Location: Ewloe, Flintshire

Hours: We have part timehours available, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.

Salary: £13.59per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

Contract: Permanent or Fixed Term Contract

What you'll be doing:

You'll be working in a service with males and females who enjoy accessing the community for various social activities and placements.

In this role, you'll actively support individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals - whether it's everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage your finances, or where to go on holiday.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You'll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to make everyday remarkable through enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person-centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person.

• can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity

• are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
• have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
• have a full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
• have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
