Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd is seeking a Support Worker in a care setting at Bowes Court, Evenwood, Bishop Auckland. You will provide person-centred support to residents, helping them build independence and enjoy daily life, with full training provided.

The role involves assisting with daily living, activities and personal care, and working closely with families and professionals to promote dignity and inclusion.

The Role

Location: Bowes Court, Evenwood, Bishop Auckland, DL14 9RE

Pay Rate: £13.04 per hour

Job Type: Permanent

As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support to the people living in our service, helping them build independence, achieve their goals and enjoy everyday life.

You could be supporting someone with their daily routine, accessing the community, taking part in activities, developing life skills or simply providing reassurance when they need it.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing person-centred support in line with individual care plans
  • Supporting with daily living activities and personal care where required
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion
  • Building positive and trusting relationships
  • Supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge
  • Encouraging participation in activities and community engagement
  • Supporting individuals to develop life skills and confidence
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working positively with colleagues, families and other professionals
