About The Role

Support Worker – Glynneath – Full time – 39 hours a week plus sleep-ins - Hourly Rate £12.60 to £12.80 per hour (plus £55 per sleep in) dependent on qualifications and experience (Driver essential)

A day in the life of working at Forestry House includes:

  • Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;
  • Being a positive role model;
  • Promoting independence by supporting a range of social, school and work-based activities;
  • Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs;
  • Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise;
  • General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation;
You’ll need:
  • A can-do attitude, resilient nature;
  • Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
  • To hold a current valid driver’s license;
  • Compassion and empathy;
  • Good communication both verbal and written;
  • Flexibility around shift times;
  • To be reliable, punctual and trustworthy;
Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
