Voyage Care in Crewe is seeking a caring Support Worker to help people gain independence in daily life within a supported living service. You will work in a small team and support individuals to develop life skills and participate in local community activities.

A full UK driving licence is required. This role offers enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime rates, and other staff benefits to support you in your role.

Qualifications

Support Worker – Crewe - £13 p/h

Drivers are required for this role

Typical Shifts are:

Early Shifts: 08:00am - 15:00pm

Late Shifts: 15:00pm - 22:00pm

Sleep Ins: 22:00pm - 08:00am

Wake Nights: 22:00pm - 08:00am

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Crewe is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the life of a person we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with limited personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the person we support in the local Bingo hall and shopping, the next you could be unwinding with them completing crafts, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress. The support worker must have excellent communications skills, this includes verbal de‑escalation that may be needed at any given time. The support worker must work well in a small team and communicate well with them at all times to ensure behaviours of distress are reduced.
