Job summary

CrossReach invites applications for a Support Worker in our Community Support and Holiday Service in Scotland. You will help adults with learning disabilities gain independence, confidence and enjoy activities in the local community.

You don’t need prior care experience; we provide induction, training and support to build confidence and career development. PVG and SSSC registration are required, with UK work entitlement checks.

Job description

As a Support Worker in our Community Support and Holiday Service, you'll support adults with learning disabilities to enjoy greater independence, build confidence and take part in the activities they enjoy. Every day is different, with opportunities to support people in their local community and beyond.

About you

You don\'t need previous experience in care to be successful in this role. We\'re looking for someone with compassion, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to support others. You\'ll have good communication skills, basic IT skills and be keen to learn.

New to care?

You will hold, or be willing to achieve, an SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Social Care (depending on the role), or an equivalent qualification that meets Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements. Experience or a qualification in supporting autistic people would be welcomed but isn\'t essential. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
