Job summary

Retain Healthcare Ltd is seeking a caregiver to provide personalised support in Chippenham and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, and help individuals engage with the community while maintaining safety and well-being.

The role requires empathy, patience and strong communication. A driving license and reliable vehicle are essential, with training provided for any PMVA or related caregiving qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a supported living setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle essential.
• PMVA qualification or experience in caregiving or social work are desirable but not essential as all training will be given

Responsibilities

• Providing personalised support to individuals, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Supporting individuals in developing and maintaining social relationships and participating in community activities.
• Promoting independence and self-advocacy skills.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of support provided via Digital Care Planning.
• Working collaboratively with other professionals involved in the individual's care, such as family members, healthcare providers, and social workers.

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire
