A recruitment agency is looking for support workers in Chinley. This role involves working in a residential home for children aged 8-18 with severe learning difficulties. Candidates must have experience with this age group and a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. The position offers flexible night shifts, and training is provided on-site. Successful applicants will need an enhanced DBS check and undergo Ofsted compliance. This is a rewarding opportunity within a supportive team environment.
We are currently recruiting for support workers to work on a part time ad hoc basis, however, full time hours can be provided if required.
The role of support worker is to work permanent nights across flexible shifts Monday to Sunday where by you can choose to work 1 or more nights per week. Preferably you would be PROACT-SCIPr trained, or be willing to undertake the training prior to commencement. Induction and training is provided on site by the client, however this is done over a 5 day period during the day 9.30 am to 3.30pm.
As a support worker in this role you will be working in a childrens residential home with 8 - 18 year olds, who will have severe learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and non verbal. It is essential therefore that you have previous experience of working with children and young people within this age group and with learning difficulties etc.
The shifts commence at 22.15pm and finish at 7.45 am. You will have complete flexibility of the days you work and shift rota's are prepared 2 weeks in advance.
A key requirement for the role is you must hold a Level 3 in Health and Social care (children's) or working towards it.
There are good public transport links to the client from Derby, Sheffield and Stockport to include bus and train services.
