Job summary

Radis Community Care in England's Extra Care Scheme invites a dedicated Support Worker to help elderly residents maintain independence. You will assist with mobility to dining areas and communal spaces, and support personal care needs with dignity and respect.

You'll engage residents in social activities and recreational programs, contributing to a compassionate, person-centered approach across living environments such as Cullum Road apartments where residents live independently with on-site

• Experience caring for older adults or individuals with frailty preferred.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.
• Willingness to support social activities and maintain independence.

Job description

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

16+ hours per week, morning and late shifts, alternate weekends. Annual leave and sickness cover available.
