The environment can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is hugely rewarding to see the progress of those you support, often doing things they couldn’t do before.

You will work day shifts, three long days a week, from 7 am to 9:45 pm. This is a permanent, full-time contract of 37.5 hours, with additional hours available.

Located in Brighton, Dane House is within walking distance of local amenities and has excellent transport links, including direct train routes to London.

In this role, you will:

  • Possess a valid UK driving license (preferred for community visits)
  • Have strong empathy, caring, and compassionate qualities
  • Support residents with personal hygiene
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a good sense of humor
  • Handle challenging behaviors effectively
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach
  • Be reliable, flexible, hardworking, and honest
  • Live locally or within a commutable distance

You must live in the UK and have the right to work in the UK full-time. Student and Skilled Worker visas for 20 hours are not accepted.

What you will get

  • Equivalent of 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) plus your birthday off
  • Free meals and parking
  • Wellbeing support and activities for work-life balance
  • Career development and training opportunities
  • Pension contributions
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced maternity package
