Overview

Job Title: Support Worker

Location: Burnley, BB10

Pay rate: £13.75 - £14.85 an hour

Job Type: 24 hours per week (2 shifts per week + flexibility for sickness/AL)

Shift and schedule: 8am to 8pm

Priority Healthcare are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in the Burnley area.

This is an excellent opportunity to support a 25-year-old with brain injury in his own home. The client lives with an extensive brain injury and is medically complex. This role would include helping him interact with the community and assisting in his everyday life. We are searching for energetic and enthusiastic support workers who share our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn\'t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Support a 25-year-old with brain injury in his own home and in the community.
  • Assist with everyday activities and community interaction.
  • Assist with manual handling as required.
  • Medication administration and seizure monitoring as part of the client’s care plan.
  • Provide personal care as needed.

Client and Role
  • The client is an individual living with extensive brain injury and epilepsy, the role is supporting him at his own home.
  • The client requires manual handing, medication administration, seizure monitoring and personal care.
Successful Applicant
  • Must have at least 12 months of previous experience in healthcare.
  • Previous experience dealing with brain injury or other complex conditions.
  • Must have a full and valid UK driving license and be able to operate a manual vehicle.
