Job summary

Sense Scotland in Bridge of Earn is seeking a dedicated support worker to provide personalised 1:1 support to adults with complex needs in their own homes.

You'll assist with daily tasks, finances, appointments, and encouraging independence, with full training provided.

This role offers a flexible rota, shift patterns including early, late and night, and the chance to make a real difference in the community.

At our service, we provide 24-hour support for people with learning disabilities, autism, Down syndrome and complex epilepsy within their own homes. Every day is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, encourage independence and help the people we support achieve their personal goals.

About the service

Nestled in the heart of the community, our service consists of two adjoining bungalows, each home to two individuals. A shared lounge, kitchen and beautiful communal garden provide welcoming spaces where everyone comes together to socialise, relax and enjoy activities throughout the year.

Our dedicated team works hard to create a warm, supportive environment where both the people we support and our colleagues feel valued, respected and safe.

We also work closely with our colleagues at our Tulloch Hill service in Perth, coming together regularly for team socials and activities including bowling, coffee catch-ups and meals out.

What will you will be doing?

You’ll provide 1:1 suppo rt helping an individual develop skills, pursue interests and enjoy every day life on their own terms.

No two days are the same , and your role may include:

  • Supporting with cooking and household tasks
  • Helping managing finances and budgeting
  • Attending health and social appointments
  • Encouraging hobbies and interests such as bowling, swimming, walking, shopping, arts and crafts
  • Supporting with personal care (full training provided)
  • Promoting independence and building confidence

More importantly, you'll be there to provide encouragement, reassurance and support, helping someone live the life they choose.

Working pattern

We operate a flexible rota system and actively encourage a healthy work-life balance wherever possible.

Shift patterns include:

  • Early Shift: 7.30am to 3.00pm
  • Late Shift: 2.00pm to 10.00pm
  • Night Shift: 10.00pm to 8.00am
