Job summary

Budwood Limited, part of the Polaris Community, is recruiting a Support Worker in Bournemouth. This full-time, permanent role offers 38.5 hours per week with a shift pattern on rotation, including 24-hour shifts with paid sleep-ins at the home.

You will support children and young people in safe, stable homes, build positive relationships, and help them develop confidence, life skills and independence. Training is provided to ensure you feel confident from day one.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare, health and social care or be willing to work towards it.
• Friendly, with strong communication and listening skills when speaking with children and colleagues.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

We're looking for caring and motivated Support Workers to join our supported accommodation team in Bournemouth. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in supporting young people, building positive relationships and helping them reach their potential. You don't need to have lots of experience - just the right attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine desire to help others. We'll support you with full training, so you feel confident in your role from day one.

We're looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join our team, supporting children and young people in a safe and welcoming home.

In this role, you will:

If you have experience of working with young people, that will really help, but we understand that this may be your first time doing this type of work. We will give you all the training and support you need to do the role.

Working Pattern

You will work on a shift rota.

Each shift is 24 hours long, including a paid sleep-in at the home, and you will typically complete two or three shifts in a row.

You will work a mixture of weekdays and weekends.

Overtime opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare, health and social care or equivalent, or be willing to work towards it
• Friendly, with strong communication and listening skills when speaking with children and colleagues
