We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team within the healthcare sector. As a Support Worker, you will provide exceptional care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Where you will work: Shakespeare House

Shakespeare House is a specialist supported living service designed to enable people with learning disabilities, including autism, physical disabilities, and complex needs, to live happy, healthy, safe lives and achieve their full potential. The service offers individually tailored care to promote independence and meaningful community involvement, providing a safe environment with 24-hour staffing and access to neighboring care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred care to meet physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal prep, and medication.
  • Promote independence and life skills development.
  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support access to educational, vocational, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate care records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities (desirable).
  • Compassionate, patient, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Passion for improving lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

  • Further increase to £11.80 with Level 2-3 NVQ qualification.
