Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers for our South Leverton, Retford service. Typical shifts are 7am–2pm or 2pm–10pm, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime, and flexible pay options via Wagestream.

You will help residents gain independence, teach life skills, and get involved in local activities to enrich daily living. We value resilience, flexibility, and a caring, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be resilient, flexible and calm in challenging situations.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life within a dynamic team.
• Teach new life skills, assist with personal care and encourage community engagement.
• Support social activities, outings to local bars, pubs, cinema or at home activities.
• Promote confidence and independence to achieve personal goals (e.g., cooking dinner).

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 7am - 2pm OR 2pm - 10pm

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in South Leverton, is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
