Help young adults build confidence, independence and a life that's right for them.
Our supported living service provides a welcoming and supportive home for young adults as they take their next steps into adulthood. Through kindness, respect and meaningful relationships, you'll support each person to discover their strengths, develop new skills, make choices and achieve the goals that matter most to them.
At Positive Futures, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life of their choosing and be valued as part of their community. Every day, you'll work alongside people to build confidence, increase independence and create opportunities for them to thrive.
No two days are the same, but every day brings the chance to make a genuine difference. You'll be there for the big milestones and the everyday achievements, celebrating those special "I did it!" moments when someone reaches a goal, masters a new skill, tries something independently for the first time, or achieves something they never thought possible.
Support work is an impactful job. It's the reason people get to live life their way.
Join Positive Futures as a Support Worker and help people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism to live independently, and to have real choice and control over their own lives. You don't need formal qualifications or experience for this role, just kindness, patience, and a sense of fun.
You'll get to know the person you're supporting properly: their goals, their routines, what independence looks like for them. From there, you'll support them with everything from daily living skills and personal care, to getting out into their community, keeping in touch with the people who matter to them, and speaking up for themselves.
A proper start: Receive a full, paid induction before you're expected to hit the ground running, and join a dedicated team who'll support you every step of the way.
Genuine independence, genuine impact: Help people manage their homes, their finances, their health and their social lives, all in a way that puts their choices first.
No experience required, just the right qualities: If you're kind, patient, and reliable, we'll teach you the rest, and we'll cover your NISCC registration too.
If you're looking for work that means something, makes a real difference to people, every day, and you've got the patience and values this role needs, we'd love to hear from you.
Every day looks a little different, because every person you support is different too.
As a Support Worker, you'll form a positive relationship with the person you support, always maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with them and their families. You'll help them look after their home, manage their money and medication as independently as possible, and get the right support from other services when they need it, whether that's a GP, a social worker, or an advocate.
You'll support people to stay safe and healthy in every part of their life, including personal care where it's needed, always treating people with dignity and respect. You'll help them get out into their community, stay connected to the people who matter to them, and speak up for themselves, seeking advocacy support where it's needed rather than deciding things for them.
You'll also act as a role model for other staff and volunteers, sharing what you learn and helping new colleagues find their feet. Accurate record keeping (incidents, risk assessments, communication logs) is part of the job too, using our usual digital systems.
If you can bring warmth, reliability and genuine respect for people's right to choose their own life, this is a role where that really counts.
