We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker at our Whalley Road service.
We are close to local amenities and have multiple transport links on our doorstep.
Whalley Road is a specialist residential home providing nursing care, support and rehabilitation to adults with a mental illness or learning disability. Our team is committed to supporting our residents to be independent, confident and resilient.
What you'll be working:
- Full time hours - 37.5 hours per week.
- £24,297 per annum.
- Long days including evenings and weekends.
- Both days & night shifts available.
- 12.5 hour shifts.
What you'll be doing:
- Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two way
- Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
- Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
- Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
- Communicate any issues to the clinical team
- Accurately report and/or record work activities
What you'll have:
- A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
