Support Worker
Location: Accrington, Lancashire

Salary: £12.21ph plus increased rates for qualified support worker
Type: Full-time, Permanent including sleeps, £56 per sleep rate.


P4 Recruitment is working with a leading charity dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered support for individuals facing a range of challenges. They are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where the service users can thrive. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker with forensic knowledge or experience to join our team in Accrington.

The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those who have been involved in the criminal justice system. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans that help promote independence, recovery, and reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individuals with complex needs, including mental health issues, learning difficulties, and forensic backgrounds.

  • Develop and implement personalised care and support plans in collaboration with the service user and the wider team.

  • Support individuals in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life, while promoting independence and personal growth.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards.

  • Liaise with external agencies, including the criminal justice system, healthcare providers, and social services, to ensure integrated care.

  • Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, fostering a safe and supportive environment.

  • Assist in promoting positive behaviours and risk management strategies in line with individual care plans.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience/Knowledge: A background in working with individuals who have forensic needs or experience within the criminal justice system.

  • Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Understanding of Forensic Needs: Knowledge of risk management, mental health, and trauma-informed care.

  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.

  • Passion: A genuine passion for supporting individuals to improve their lives and reintegrate into society.
