Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Care Assistant / Support Worker to join our team based at Petypher House Extra Care Scheme in Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX13.
Petypher House is situated in Kingston Bagpuize village, approximately 6 miles from Abingdon. Built in 2016, it offers 45 apartments, including 1 and 2 bedroom properties for rent, shared ownership, and leasehold. The development features facilities such as a hairdressing salon, restaurant, therapy room, IT room, cinema room, and coordinated activities like bingo, knitting, and IT classes.
Our carers aim to help residents maintain independence for as long as possible. Care is provided 24/7, tailored to individual needs, within the residents' own flats, ranging from daily assistance to support throughout day and night.
Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, and dressing. You will also have opportunities to engage residents in recreational and social activities, both individually and in groups.
The role focuses on promoting residents' independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care.
Shift times available are 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-7am, including alternate weekends.
