A leading organization in Ebbw Vale is looking for a Support Work Assistant to empower women and children affected by domestic abuse. The role involves delivering vital support in refuges, engaging clients in activities, and providing emotional and logistical assistance. Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of trauma-informed care.
Support Work Assistant
Cyfannol’s mission is to empower women and children to flourish in a life free from domestic abuse and sexual violence.
We offer a range of services throughout Gwent that encompass prevention, awareness-raising, safety, support and personal development opportunities for women and their children who have experienced violence against women, domestic abuse and/or sexual violence (VAWDASV)
Day shifts are 8am until 8pm. Overnight shifts are sleep in shifts from 8pm until 8am.
Mandatory attendance at supervision, team meetings and training outside of normal hours are paid.
Salary: £26,666per annum (Pro-rated)
Contract: Permanent
All staff must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of clients and the organisation
Purpose of the Post:To support the delivery of specialist support to women and children living within Gwent who are affected by Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) in primarily our accommodation services.

A current valid driving licence, access to a car and insurance covering business use is essential.
