Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Intervention for Psychosis (EIP) team in the London Borough of Ealing.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven experience working in a community-based setting. You will be responsible for delivering care to an allocated caseload of service users experiencing or recovering from first-episode psychosis.

You will provide direct support to service users and carers, guided by the principles of Early Intervention Services. The support will be collaborative, holistic, and recovery-focused.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with a range of stakeholders inside and outside of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required:

  1. To work within the multidisciplinary team structure of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team (EIS).
  2. To support and work alongside Care Co-ordinators and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care programmes.
  3. To provide support and time to an allocated group of service users, promoting recovery and maintaining them in the community environment.
  4. To contribute to multidisciplinary team assessments and the formulation and implementation of MDT care plans.
  5. To maintain high standards of care, ensuring the quality of care provided is informed by the best evidence-based practices.

Key Result Areas & Performance :

  1. Work in close liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary EIS.
  2. The central requirement is that the STaR worker demonstrates a willingness to work flexibly and undertake tasks outside the usual remit of their discipline, such as helping with budgeting, shopping, supporting access to social activities, and confidence building.
