About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Technician to join our team in Runcorn, Cheshire. Under supervision from the depot, this role will involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance whilst gaining knowledge of the safe working practices required to carry out the role as a Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of high volume picking machinery via planned maintenance schedules.
  • Assisting Technicians in fast reactions to breakdowns of the depot equipment.
  • Maintain up to date records of all maintenance work, repairs, and site spares.
  • Liaise with contractors carrying out work on site.
  • Generation of paperwork and reports required.

Hours & Working Pattern:

39.38 hours per week. Four week rotation:

  1. Week 1: Mon - Fri 05:00 - 13:15, Sun 06:00 - 14:00
  2. Week 2: Mon - Fri 21:00 - 05:15
  3. Week 3: Mon - Fri 13:00 - 21:15
  4. Week 4: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:15

Salary: £23,599 per annum

Who we want:

  • Basic experience with conveyor systems and similar automation.
  • A basic qualification in an Electrical/Mechanical/Pneumatic discipline.
  • Basic Technical knowledge and experience of working to compliance with Health and Safety.
  • Educated to GCSE level C or above.
  • Demonstrate good communication, timekeeping, attention to detail and organisational skills.

Desirable but not Essential:

  • Experience working within a Technical department especially maintenance.
  • Working with Automated conveying systems.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
