What you will enjoy doing

We currently have opportunities within our Packaging team for a Support Team Leader at our Milton Keynes location (MK10 Kingston) due to expansion and growth.

Purpose of job/mission:

To ensure that containers removed from the machines are packed correctly in safe, hygienic containers in accordance with customer specifications. To support the Team Leader with various duties to ensure the smooth running of the shift. To cover Team Leader duties when required.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  1. Ensure products being packed meet the required quality specifications. Report any defects to Supervision.
  2. Ensure the packaging is of an acceptable standard, removing any bags or materials that do not fall within the required specifications.
  3. Check that the label is the correct one for the product being packed and relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
  4. Ensure products are properly wrapped for safe transportation. Report faults to Supervision.
  5. Ensure housekeeping is of the highest standards at all times.
  6. Carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety practices and within quality, hygiene, and food safety policy.
  7. Support the Team Leader with various duties to ensure the smooth running of the shift.
  8. Cover Team Leader duties when required.
  9. Perform any other duties in connection with the operation of providing good quality packaging, that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and are consistent with the ‘Purpose of job/mission.'

  1. Recent experience within a packaging environment/fast-paced production.
  2. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  3. Able to demonstrate safe working practices and adhere to strict H&S requirements and regulations.
