Support Team Leader

Salary: GBP26,130 per annum

We're recruiting a Support Team Leader on behalf of one of the UK s largest independent providers in neuro and mental healthcare, in Rishton, Lancashire! The service is a specialist residential service providing rehabilitation, care and support to vulnerable women with complex mental health issues. Purposefully small, the service has capacity for up to 6 female residents, allowing for a calm, relaxing environment.

What you'll be working:

  • Days with night shifts when required
  • 08.00-20.30 days, 20.00-08.30 nights
  • 37.5 Hours
  • Monday - Sunday
  • Alternate Weekends

What you'll be doing as a Support Team Leader:

  • Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two way
  • Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
  • Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
  • Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
  • Communicate any issues to the clinical team
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities
  • To be part of the on call team
  • Complete Supervisions of Support Workers

What you'll have:

  • Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
  • Flexible, professional, and positive approach.
  • Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.
  • Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
  • Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
