Support Team Leader

Our adult services programme is looking to expand our offering within our care packages in the Dorchester and Wareham region. We are looking for a Support Team Leader to join our team in making a difference in the lives of the people we support. Your role as a Support Team Leader will be key to the smooth running of the service, ensuring we promote the growth of the people we support. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Registered Manager, demonstrating best practice, and providing day to day support, guidance and direction to your colleagues.

Hours of work: 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm Monday - Sunday on a two week rolling rota. You would be required to work alternate weekends and complete sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment).

A day in the life of a Support Team Leader would include:

1. Supporting the smooth running of the service, ensuring we promote the growth of the people we support.
2. Work closely with the Registered Manager, demonstrating best practice.
3. Providing guidance and direction to colleagues/ new starters.
4. Continuously reviewing Max care plan ensuring exciting updates and progress are always recorded.
5. Completing medication audits.
6. Ordering medication when needed.
7. Being on call (on a rota basis).
8. Managing staff spot checks.

Our ideal applicant would have:

1. Level 2 Social Care (or equivalent).
2. Experience with Autism and working with challenging behaviour.
3. Communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
4. Administration skills.
5. Good organisational skills.
6. Able to work flexible hours including sleep ins and on call shifts.
7. Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
8. A full UK drivers license and access to a car.
