Job description

Would you like to work in a fast-paced environment, working alongside a variety of Services within our Adult Social Care Directorate?

Working within our Support Services team, you will be joining a dedicated and driven team and as the Support Service Team Lead your role willbe responsible for the supervision and organisation of the day-to-day delivery of efficient and effective business support, admin and specialist services across Care Services.

Our Business Support Team are located across a number of localities and this role will include travel across the Westmorland and Furness footprint as and when required.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced, reactive environment, who is passionate and enthusiastic about providing outstanding customer service, across our service areas, to key stakeholders and our community. You will be responsible for motivating, supporting and enabling your team of specialist business support staff, to ensure objectives are met on behalf of the Directorate.

You and your team will be supporting our front-line Services, meaning that at times you may have access to subject matter of a distressing nature or may need to resolve situations that mean working with distressed members of the public. An understanding, and knowledge, of the Service areas you will be supporting, including key legislation and the complex processes and policies involved would is essential to this role.
