Job Title: Support & Projects Installation Engineer

Location: Leicester (with UK, Offshore, and International Travel)

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

A specialist engineering company is seeking a Support & Projects Installation Engineer to join their team. The company develops and delivers advanced control systems for gas and steam turbine-driven generating sets. This role offers varied and challenging work across UK power stations, offshore platforms, and international client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and support of control, instrumentation, and auxiliary systems
  • Scheduled site maintenance and calibration of systems
  • Completion of site reports and quality documentation
  • Recommissioning of systems after service
  • In-house repairs and minor modifications to equipment
  • Assisting in the installation of control systems
  • Static commissioning and loop checking
  • Supporting project engineers with system design and testing
  • Office-based tasks when not on site, including documentation and spares assessments

Essential Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • Practical experience working with rotating machinery
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and manage workload
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport

Desirable Skills:

  • CompEx certification
  • Functional safety qualification (e.g. TUV / SUD)
  • Experience in the power generation sector
  • Offshore certification (e.g. CCNSG Safety Passport, Vantage Card)
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems (e.g. Rockwell, Siemens S7)
